Jim Bock

Born and raised in Walla Walla, Jim Bock has been a local radio broadcaster for 30 years. An alumnus of Walla Walla University and San Diego State University he and his wife, Ester, remain involved in many local activities and events.

Bock's theater background spans many years. He has performed in and directed productions at the Little Theater of Walla Walla and Walla Walla University. He has appeared on stages from London to Los Angeles.

Dubbed by former Walla Walla City Councilman Keith Soper in the mid-80’s as…”the Voice of the Valley.” Bock is perhaps currently best known as the host of KUJ Radio’s Walla Walla Live morning show and as the longtime Walla Walla Hot Air Balloon Stampede announcer.

With a distinct delivery and a voice described as “smooth as warm hot chocolate,” Bock continues to enjoy performing and entertaining.

Bock is the News Director for Alexandra Communications and their family of stations KUJ, KUJJ Smooth Jazz, KVAN and KGSG The Groove.
