2025

ANNUAL REPORT

We Make Music Together

Thanks to your generous support, our patrons, diligent governance by the WWCMF Board of Directors, and budget-conscious management by Founder and Artistic Director Timothy Christie, WWCMF has long prided itself on its financial responsibility. In only two seasons have expenditures exceeded revenues—the first during the pandemic, the second, as shown above, when we expanded our executive team by hiring Jamey Lamar as our Executive Director. This expense was a carefully considered strategic move that allowed the Festival to continue its growth while preserving its commitment to artistic excellence. We welcome Jameys demonstrated administrative expertise as we build our capacity to serve the community better. Already, we are seeing the first fruits in an expansion of performance dates. In August, we presented an off-season concert featuring Vivaldi's Four Seasons. There's much more to come.

Reflecting on an outstanding 2025, we saw increased attendance, stable ticket prices, and an expanded number of musical offerings, both free and ticketed. And it’s hard to resist crowing about our 2025 Emerging Artist Quartet, Poiesis Quartet. In Walla Walla, they performed for you and 1,327 elementary school students. Only weeks later, they took the music world by storm, winning the prestigious Banff International String Quartet Competition. As Timothy is fond of saying, “We get ’em before they get their Grammy!”

Continue to expect excellence from our organization as we bring you innovative programming that blends the old and new, the familiar and the surprising. We look forward to another season of vibrant and enriching music-making. Thank you for your support.

In gratitude,

Albert Marshall
Board President
