Brandi Mora Main

Brandi Mora Main received her Master of Music in Performance at Bowling Green State University where she was a graduate assistant in the Graduate String Quartet and concertmaster of the Bowling Green Philharmonia. She finished her Bachelor of Music in Performance as a Coolidge Otis Chapman Honors Scholar at the University of Puget Sound, and she received the Roderick MacArthur Award for her Superior Honors Thesis Presentation. During her undergraduate studies abroad she studied and performed in Vienna, Austria, at the IES Vienna Music Program. Her major teachers include Maria Sampen, Barbara Gorzynska and Caroline Chin.

Brandi has enjoyed premiering multiple new compositions for her colleagues at Bowling Green as well as Puget Sound. She has performed in master classes with renowned violinists and musicians such as Simon James, Mark O’Connor, PROJECT Trio, Joseph Swenson, Maria Sampen and Rachel Barton Pine. Brandi participated in the Icicle Creek Chamber Music Festival in Leavenworth, Washington, and has performed as a Festival Scholar at the Heartland Chamber Music Festival in Overland Park, Kansas. She has also loved spending her summers working as the Production Manager for the Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival.

In addition to teaching privately, Brandi was on the faculty as a violin teacher and chamber coach for the Black Swamp Fine Arts School in Bowling Green, Ohio, and has worked as an intern and coach for the University of Puget Sound String Festival, Tacoma Young Chamber Players, the Tacoma Youth Symphony, and as a mentor for the Detroit Symphony Youth Orchestra.
