Cellist Hamilton Berry’s eclectic taste has led him to pursue various performing, arranging, and composing projects in the New York area and beyond. A member of PUBLIQuartet, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Toomai String Quintet, Founders, and The Con Brio Ensemble.

Jennifer DeVore began studying the cello at the age of five and went on to study art history at Harvard before earning her Masters degree from the New England Conservatory, where her teachers were Colin Carr and Laurence Lesser. Hailed as “superb” by the New York Times, she has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and London’s Barbican Center and at the Musicorda, Yellow Barn and Spoleto festivals.

Finnish-born cellist Katri Ervamaa, DMA, is a versatile performer, who specializes in chamber music, new music and creative improvisation. She has performed and given master classes throughout North America, Europe and Taiwan.

Benjamin Gish is the director of the Walla Walla Valley Academy String Orchestra and has a large studio of cellists and bassists ranging in age from 4 through 20-something. He is also the director of the Walla Walla Symphony Youth Orchestra and is artist-in-residence at Walla Walla University.

An accomplished orchestral and chamber musician, Ismar Gomes has performed with the Lancaster Symphony, the Harrisburg Symphony, and the Towson New Music Ensemble.

Rowena Hammill is Associate Principal Cello of the Los Angeles Opera Orchestra. She divides her time between Los Angeles and Vashon Island, Washington.

Kevin Krentz is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He enjoys a varied career as performer, inventor, artistic director, and teacher. Although he began his musical life as a cellist at 12, he soon dropped the cello to sing for the rest of his youth.

Norbert Lewandowski was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and began cello studies at the age of 13. He holds a Master's degree in performance and literature from the Eastman School of Music and currently resides in Charleston, South Carolina, where he is the principal cellist of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.

Cellist Alistair MacRae has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral principal throughout North America and in Europe, Asia, South America, and the Middle East.

Cellist Laura Metcalf, noted for her "gorgeous cello legatos" (Washington Post) and her “brilliant” playing (Gramophone Magazine) is known for her compelling solo and chamber music performances worldwide and in her home of New York City.

Alberto Parrini is principal cellist of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic and a member of the American Symphony and Orchestra of St. Luke’s.

Alberto teaches cello and chamber music at Princeton University.

A native of New Orleans, cellist Malcolm Parson has been hailed as “the most creative cellist of his generation.” According to Grammy Award winner, Eugene Friesen, “He is that rare player with feet planted firmly in classical music and the music of our time while possessing perfect intonation, fluent technique, and stylistic versatility.”

First Prize winner of the 2008 Naumburg International Violoncello Competition, David Requiro (pronounced re-KEER-oh) has emerged as one of today’s finest American cellists.

A founding member of the Spektral Quartet, Russell Rolen has presented solo and chamber music recitals throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Based in Chicago, he performs regularly in the Chicago area and around the Midwest.

Cellist David Sabee is the Grammy award–winning music director and principal conductor of the Northwest Sinfonia.

Following his early musical education as a pianist, Sabee began cello studies at age seventeen with Johan Lingeman, former solo cellist of the Concertgebouw Orkest, and continued with Paul Olefsky and Harvey Shapiro. His primary conducting work was with the esteemed Swiss opera conductor and former Toscanini assistant, Walter Ducloux.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Pedro Sanchez is an Ensemble Member or the Ivalas Quartet.

Pedro was the winner of the Emil Friedman Cello Competition of Venezuela in 2010. As a soloist, he has appeared with the Virtuosi de Caracas and Arcos Juveniles de Caracas and has performed under Maestros Simon Rattle, Gustavo Dudamel and Tan Dun, among others.

An exceptionally versatile cellist, Eric Stephenson’s style ranges from classical to jazz to rock and folk. He has performed with numerous orchestras like the IRIS Orchestra in Memphis, Tennesee and the Colorado Music Festival in Boulder. Eric was also a regular substitute for the Cleveland Orchestra.

British cellist Sally Singer Tuttle has given numerous world premiere performances of solo and chamber works in Europe and throughout the United States and performed as a soloist with orchestras such as the St. Petersburg Chamber Phliharmonic, Russia; the Pleven Philharmonic, Bulgaria; the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra, New York; the Danbury Symphony, Connecticut; and the Washington-Idaho Symphony Orchestra, amongst others. 

In addition to being the cellist of the Blair String Quartet, Felix Wang is a founding member of the Blakemore Trio and co-principal cellist of the IRIS Orchestra under the direction of Michael Stern. He has performed throughout the United States and Canada as a chamber musician, soloist, and in recital, receiving critical acclaim for, “beautifully wrought,” “dazzling,” and “soulful” performances.

American cellist Meta Weiss (pronounced MAY-ta) made her international debut at the age of seven in Utrecht, Holland, and has established herself as one of the leading cellists of her generation.
