Cellist Meta Weiss and violinist Arianna Warsaw-Fan have teamed up to create duoW.

Arianna — Violinist Arianna Warsaw-Fan has established herself as one of the leading violinists of her generation. She has appeared as a soloist with numerous orchestras, including the Juilliard Orchestra, the McGill Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestre Symphonique de Laval.

Meta — San Francisco native Meta Weiss made her international debut at the age of seven in Utrecht, Holland at the International String Convention. An acclaimed soloist, chamber musician, and artist, she performs music spanning all periods from classical to jazz.

Arianna — She has performed at the Ravinia, Verbier, La Jolla Summerfest, Music@Menlo, New York’s Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Montreal’s Salle Bourgie, Maison Symphonique, Berlin’s Philharmonie, and Tokyo’s Suntory Hall.

Meta — She has performed at venues including Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Boston Symphony Hall, The Kimmel Center, Royal Albert Hall, and Teatro Britanico. Her recent solo appearances include concertos with the Pennsylvania Sinfonia, the Avanti Chamber Orchestra, and the Aspen Chamber Symphony.

Arianna — Arianna has been a featured guest on jazz trumpet legend Chris Botti’s tours. She has also appeared around the world in such venues as Washington DC’s Kennedy Center, Manila’s Newport Theater, Calgary’s Jack Singer Concert Hall, and New York City’s famous Blue Note jazz club.

Meta — Meta has been top prize-winner in numerous competitions, including the Irving M. Klein International String Competition, Washington International Competition, and the Schadt Cello Competition.

Arianna — Arianna has been featured as Concertmaster of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester, the Juilliard Symphony, the McGill Chamber Orchestra, and the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra.

Meta — Meta has been featured on numerous occasions as a guest artist on NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion, Performance Today, Northwest Focus Live, and From the Top.
