Seattle-based clarinetist Angelique Poteat is the Principal Clarinetist with the Yakima Symphony Orchestra and has appeared as a soloist with them on several occasions, with an upcoming performance of the Copland Clarinet Concerto scheduled for March 2020.

She periodically performs with many other groups, including the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Modern Orchestra, Vancouver Symphony (BC), Boise Philharmonic, Northwest Sinfonietta, and Emerald City Music, and has performed in numerous recordings for video games and theme parks, as well as premiering and recording many works of living composers.

Festival engagements include the Sunriver Music Festival, McCall Music Festival, Siletz Bay Music Festival, and Icicle Creek Music Festival.  Poteat is also an award-winning composer, with music favorably reviewed in the New York Times.  Two new pieces of hers commissioned by the Seattle Symphony will be premiered on their 2019-20 Masterworks Series.

Poteat earned degrees at Rice University and the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
