2010 Chamber Music Festival Expands to 16 Days and 29 Performances
Walla Walla, WA-- The Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival (WWCMF) will run from June 3-18, 2010. The Festival presents 29 musical events at a variety of traditional and non-traditional venues. 15 musicians from around the country comprise the acclaimed roster of performers. The Festival emphasizes smaller venues and close encounters between audience, performers, and great works of chamber music past and present.
WWCMF has partnered with 21 venues throughout the Walla Walla Valley to bring classical chamber music to a broad audience. With a balance between ticketed events and free community programs, WWCMF serves both the local population and area visitors.
The Festival Series: $20
These five performances form the centerpiece of the Walla Walla Chamber Music Festival and are set in the very best traditional concert spaces the Walla Walla Valley has to offer. The concerts are thoughtfully programmed, exquisitely performed and feature an international roster of Festival musicians. One performance features a world premiere.
Tasting Music Series: $12
These four remarkable shows are set at celebrated area wineries. Guests can enjoy chamber music masterworks in intimate settings while tasting wine. Seating is extremely limited for these performances, so advance ticket purchase is essential.
The Special Event: $15
One night, two magical shows. Join us at 6 p.m. or 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 10th at Waitsburg’s famous jimgermanbar. Classicism and modernism will meld into a kaleidoscope of musical wonder. Buy tickets now or forever hold your peace.
Sounds Like Fun Series: Free
These four events are children’s events that show how much fun great music can be. They will be held at places like the Walla Walla YMCA and the Walla Walla Public Library.
Open Rehearsals: Free
Behind the scenes, in front of an audience. No less than ten chamber music rehearsals will take place in a diverse collection of public venues like restaurants, hotels, and stores.

Chamber music visits every corner of the Walla Walla Valley in this group of performances geared toward reaching audiences in non-traditional settings.
